With such a low weight Ibex SMF is a great crossbow to travel with, shoot for a long period of time and hunt. It has been specifically designed for hunting, from the way it aims and shoots to the shape and colour of the crossbow. It has been made from a strong and weatherproof material so that it has a long lifetime and as an added bonus it is bulletproof. It has been decorated in a “Realtree AP” camouflage to help on your hunt to make sure you blend in more with your surroundings. Excalibur is a well know crossbow manufacturer and you can expect to get a high level of quality with it as well as its trademark accuracy. Even when you just hold this crossbow you can feel the quality and how well built it is. The crossbow comes with a multiplex scope which is easy to attach. Just keep in mind that can take a while to zero, but it’s a perfect attachment once it has been sorted out. Once the scope is attached and zeroed it can get you a clear 50 yard shot or longer if you are experienced, whilst adding barely any weight to the crossbow. This Ibex crossbow has had its design modified to reduce the recoil, which means each shot is very smooth. Additionally, the Ibex has a lot of power behind each shot making it a more precise shot. There a few cons with the crossbow, as with any other product. There have been issues were a few of the multiplex scope will not zero, no matter what you do, if this happens you will need to contact Excalibur and request a replacement. Another issue that has been noticed is that after a period of very heavy usage one or two parts start to rattle. You need to make sure you maintain the crossbow properly to avoid such situations and get the highest performance.
