CONS:

A few cons about this crossbow include the weight of the crossbow. The manufacturer said they tried to make the crossbow lighter, but it still has a hefty weight which may make your wrists ache after a while, if you are out of shape. Without the scope on, it is much easier to hold up for longer, but you need the scope for longer distance shots. So, if you need the range you need to be able to put up with the extra weight added on to the crossbow.

This also helps get accurate groupings of shots on a target which is essential.

The Barnett Wildcat features a lightweight frame that has an innovative crank attachment built into the stock. It also allows for an easy installation of another crank cocking device if needed. The tough lightweight frame weighs in a 8.5 lbs which makes it trouble-free when moving with it. This frame combined with the power allows for shots of over 320 feet per second, which means your prey will never escape your shot when hunting. It is fairly quiet, so you can shoot unnoticed, but it is not the quietest crossbow available.

You need to be able to build the crossbow when it arrives, but this is a quick and painless job that makes you appreciate your crossbow so much more. It is also worth pointing out that it doesn’t come with a cocking device, so you will have to remember to buy one to use with it.

It has a thumbhole grip to make sure you have a steady hold when aiming and a concealed cheek piece to hold comfortably.  The Quad 400 shoots with an arrow speed of over 345 feet per second making it ideal for taking down prey when hunting or great for getting accurate shots when in a competition. The crossbow comes with CrossWire String and cable system that helps build up the power in each shot.  It has a sleek finish with an HD camouflage to keep you hidden when hunting. When the scope has been attached, you can shoot up to 55 yards and get precise and clean shots.

Compared to other crossbows, the Quad 400 may be too heavy so it is not recommended for beginners or men/women of the lighter frame. Also, you need to be quite strong to load the crossbow, so be prepared to spend time loading up and build up muscle.

In conclusion, there are lots of positive aspects about the Barnett Quad 400 crossbow and it has defiantly been improved from the earlier model. This crossbow gives you value for money if you have the strength to load it properly. It has an innovative design and has enough power to take down any prey you find stress free.

When you attach the scope you can get accurate shots from 40 yard up to 70 yards, which is also great for hunting. The scope is also very light and doesn’t add much weight to the crossbow, which helps to keep the shots precise.

There are many excellent aspects to this Penetrator crossbow including how easy it is to build out of the box, which means you will be using it in no time. As Barnett crossbows tend to have, this crossbow has a 5 to 1 safety factor, so do not fear that you will injure yourself when using this crossbow (as long as you operate within common sense limits). It also comes with a 5 year warranty to protect against workmanship and material defects, which is always appreciated.

Some issues that have been noted with the Barnett Penetrator crossbow include a fragile rope cocker. If the crossbow is not treated well, or not maintained as it should be it can cause the rope cocker to go wrong, which will have to be fixed to use the crossbow again. The crossbow features a great speed of up to 350 feet per second. The crossbow is protected with a five year warranty which shields against defects in materials and workmanship. If you need a longer shot, it comes with a scope that allows faultless shots up to a distance of 50 yards. It has also been made simple to adjust so that it can be just right for hunting.

The Ghost 350 has many fine points to sell, but there are a couple of tiny issues that need to be aired. It has been specifically designed for hunting, from the way it aims and shoots to the shape and colour of the crossbow. It has been made from a strong and weatherproof material so that it has a long lifetime and as an added bonus it is bulletproof. It has been decorated in a “Realtree AP” camouflage to help on your hunt to make sure you blend in more with your surroundings. The Ibex SMF offers amazing value for money and you can easily build it straight out of the box.

Excalibur is a well know crossbow manufacturer and you can expect to get a high level of quality with it as well as its trademark accuracy. Even when you just hold this crossbow you can feel the quality and how well built it is. The crossbow comes with a multiplex scope which is easy to attach. Just keep in mind that can take a while to zero, but it’s a perfect attachment once it has been sorted out. Once the scope is attached and zeroed it can get you a clear 50 yard shot or longer if you are experienced, whilst adding barely any weight to the crossbow. This Ibex crossbow has had its design modified to reduce the recoil, which means each shot is very smooth. Additionally, the Ibex has a lot of power behind each shot making it a more precise shot. There a few cons with the crossbow, as with any other product. There have been issues were a few of the multiplex scope will not zero, no matter what you do, if this happens you will need to contact Excalibur and request a replacement.  Another issue that has been noticed is that after a period of very heavy usage one or two parts start to rattle. You need to make sure you maintain the crossbow properly to avoid such situations and get the highest performance. In our opinion, the Excalibur Ibex SMF crossbow provides great amount of power and quality for the price, making it great for hunters and target shooters.

Like many other TenPoint crossbows, the Ridge Raider has been made silent, which is perfect for hunting.

There are several key features of the Wicked Ridge Racer CLS crossbow that make the crossbow outstanding, the first is the Ridge Raiders ACU-52 cocking system. This cocking system allows you to cock and aim quickly with this crossbow whether you’re a beginner or veteran. It has an amazing 3x Multi-Line Scope which assists long range shots of up to 30 yards. Using this scope will improve groupings of shots making it great for crossbow competitions. The Ridge Raider also includes a new safety feature to protect the shooter, which prevents shots being fired when no arrow is loaded. It has also been prepared to be the smoothest and quietest in the industry thanks to the technology used for the trigger.

One of the main issues with this crossbow from TenPoint, and that is the fact it is advertised as an out-of-the-box crossbow, but it does not come like that. You still need to assemble the crossbow, but it is not too hard as it comes with easy to follow instructions.  Actually, there is still a silver lining to having to assemble it yourself, as you get to appreciate the workmanship that has gone into the crossbow put it together.

It also creates a lot of vibration down the handle when shooting, which can be an issue for some people. To solve this issue you may invest in some vibration dampeners which will absorb the vibrations.

There are lots of good features on the Wicked Ridge Raider CLS crossbow which defiantly outweigh the bad overall making the TenPoint crossbow a great purchase.

PROS:

• The ACU-52 cocking system that aims to get accurate shots every time whilst reducing the effort needed to shoot by up to half.
• The condensed crossbow frame that reduces the weight and helps with maneuverability when hunting.
• The new safety element that stops accidental shots being fired when there is no arrow loaded.

CONS:

A great characteristic of the Titan Xtreme crossbow is how low the weight is, which results from the new lighter material used in making the crossbow. The crossbow also features new Fusion Lite stock, which is longer, 5lbs lighter than the original Fusion stock and narrower, which means you can aim for longer and get a more accurate shot. Another great feature is the 3x Pro-View Scope that can allow particularly clean and swift shots up to 20 yards. You can use the scope to shoot up to 50 yards, but at this range, your accuracy might not be perfect. Of course, if you are skilled enough, you will still be landing perfect shots at this distance and with this scope. Between the low weight and lean shape of the crossbow, you can almost guarantee that it will fit any body shape, which means it is a great universal crossbow.

The Tenpoint Titan Xtreme crossbow has many positive points, but it is not perfect. It has one main issue, which is caused by the rope cocking device.  It has been reported by many users to break very easily when misused. To make sure it does not break, you should take care good of your crossbow and have regular maintenance to have it working correctly.  It is also quite a noisy crossbow compared to other crossbows in TenPoints range. This is not a major issue, but if you plan on hunting and need to stay quiet, you will need to invest in a silencer. Overall, when you are buying a TenPoint crossbow, you are getting a decent build from a company that is well respected for the quality of its crossbows.

PROS:
