6 Outdoor Adventure Activities You May Not Have Tried Yet

horseback archery

Outdoor sporting and adventuring is an amazing way to spend your free time. Being out in nature, honing your skills at your passion, relieving stress and taking time out to do what makes you happy. If you’re an outdoor adventure lover you’ve probably tried your hand at quite a few different activities. However, there might be a few challenges that are a little bit out of your comfort zone. Trying out something new is a great way to challenge yourself, test your own boundaries and perhaps even discover new passions. Here are some activities you might want to look into in the future.

Boating

If you’re usually a solid-ground type, treading water can seem a little daunting. However, boating in all of its glorious forms can serve as an excellent new challenge or a chance to relax in the great outdoors. You could get out on the water in a few different ways, like deep-sea fishing, kayaking or simply cruising in the name of good fun with your friends or family. In this case, there are Whaly boats in USA that can serve as a great starter boat for beginners to learn the ropes.

Mounted Archery

You might be acquainted with archery. You might be acquainted with horseback riding. There’s a slimmer chance that you’ve tried your hand at both simultaneously. Mounted archery is an intricate skill that can take a lot of time and dedication to learn. Most people advise that you learn each of the relevant skills one at a time before attempting to bring them together, so this could be a great option for those who already partake in one or the other. Maintaining good control of both your bow and your horse is a great challenge for both the mind and the body, making it a great option for those who want to push themselves a little.

Trail Running

If you usually spend your leisure time outdoors and save the workouts for the gym, this one could be for you. Trail running is a phenomenal sport for both your brain and your body, offering a chance to improve your cardiovascular fitness, strengthen your muscles, improve your balance and contribute to a healthy mind. On top of all of this, it’s a load of fun and every workout feels like an adventure! Gunning through the forest and navigating trees, rocks and muddy pathways is far more exciting and challenging than one more jog on the treadmill, so if you’re looking to change up your training repertoire this is one great way to go.

Mountain Biking

Much like trail running, mountain biking is yet another adventure-type workout that you don’t want to miss out on. Mountain biking offers speed and a thrill like no other, and for those more experienced and advanced, it can take you to new heights each time you get your feet on those pedals. As a fast-paced, challenging, whole-body workout that can potentially be a little dangerous, this one is appealing to adventurers of all kinds and should certainly be on your bucket list.

Skiing or Snowboarding

This one is great for when you’re travelling to a slightly different terrain. A skiing holiday is something that everyone should experience once in their lives – the slopes can make even the strongest, burliest men quiver in their boots. Though challenging, skiing simply takes a little training and practice to get the hang of, and once you do it offers an amazing adrenalin rush. Snowboarding is said to be easier, though similar in that it takes a certain level of fitness and practice to get it right. Both of these sports are demanding on your core and balance, and challenge you in entirely different ways, both mentally and physically.

Scuba Diving

This is another adventure that every nature lover should experience at least once in their lives – but once you’ve started it’ll be impossible not to go back for more. While this does take some equipment and training (you’ll need some certificates to get started), it’s well worth any effort you might have to go through before you go out on your first dive. While not the most challenging in terms of a workout, a scuba diving experience can open your mind to an entirely new world and is an experience like no other. Seeing and interacting with sea life on an up-close and personal level is an amazing adventure for anyone to have and should certainly be added to that bucket list for the next time you travel.
